The best 4th of July I have had in a really long time!!! I love love love my hubby! He was so sweet as to get my 3 besties from college together with their significant others to meet up in McCall for the weekend. We all rented a cabin together, brought the boat up and enjoyed each others company. It was a blast here are some pics from the weekend. No offense boys but next time I think we need an all girls weekend:)

FATHER'S DAY GOLFING!!!

For Father's Day my dad was out of town so we first took Michael's dad golfing and had a blast. The next week we were able to go out to Warm Springs golf course and enjoy the afternoon and golfing with my pops:) Over all I think it was a great Father's Day!

Thanks Dad for being the best dad a girl could ask for! Love ya!

Baby!!

Bare with me as this is my first attempt at our blog. If you haven't guessed, this is Michael and yes, I am scared for all of us. I am going to jump way forward from our last post and try to work my way back.

As you may have guessed from the title and photo, we are having a baby. As of today (6/1/11), Kim is about 13 weeks pregnant and we couldn't be happier. It is a gift from God and at this point, it is still surreal to me. I would bet reality has set in on Kim though, due to the lack of energy and intermittent nausea, but she has been a trooper.

The day we found out (4/8/11), we were getting up early to head to Portland to watch the Trailblazers beat the Lakers from 4 rows behind the Blazers bench courtesy of one of my customers. (pictures below)

Back to the story.... So we are waking up early and Kim gets out of bed before me because it takes her a few more minutes than me to get ready. I kept sleeping for a few minutes and all of the sudden she jumps on the bed and shoves something in my face. Groggy me who is not a morning person, cant get my eyes open to see what it is. I'm rubbing my eyes and then I realize it's a pregnancy test. The dumbest question then follows, "Is it positive?"

After Kim tells me she's not an idiot and can read a pregnancy test, the biggest smile and sense of calm/happiness came over me. So far, life has brought me some of the saddest and happiest moments that anyone could ever experience, but that moment was unlike any other, second only to our wedding day, and I will always be able to remember that exact feeling.

That one night trip to Portland went great with the amazing news that morning, the Lakers losing, and some quality time with my wife.

Now that the best news is out of the way, let's go backwards from today.

GRADUATION

5.13.2011 was the last day I was at a school campus as a student. Yep, my 7 year college plan is finally over and I decided it was time to get my degree. It has been a great adventure and the fact that I finally got my degree is slowly setting in. I will now forever be a Boise State Bronco and proud of it.

Thank you to my amazing wife and family for a wonderful weekend and party, not to mention al of the support you guys have given me. With out every single of one of you, I honestly wouldn't be where I am today. In regards to the party and graduation weekend, I didn't have to do much as my wife, family and in-laws took care of everything. I would imagine I wasn't as grateful as I should have been, but I love you guys and appreciate everything you have done for me.

I also want to thank my Aunt Jan, cousin Zach and Aunt Teresa for coming up from Southern California. It was great to have you guys here and it meant a lot that you came.

Biggest graduating class in Boise State history!

My sister, Matt and their kids were troopers and came to the 2.5 hr long graduation but kids can only sit for so long and they also left ASAP to start getting items for the party. Thanks again you guys!

Kim's parents and sister were also amazing and came to support me. Thank you as well!

PHEONIX

5.6.2011 brought about Kim's oldest sister's wedding in Phoenix. Kristin and Heath Van Patten had a beautiful wedding and reception and we wish you guys the best!

Their wedding was a great opportunity to spend some quality time with Kim's family and some great friends. Rich and Michelle Garrett (great family friends from Alaska) joined the party and we are more than happy they did. That weekend also happened to be Kim's grandmother's birthday so it was definitely an action packed weekend.

Alright, I don't know how Kim does this, but it has been about an hour and this is all I have done. So, this will be continued. As you can tell, it has been a crazy 9 months.

Vegas Adventures

This year already Michael & I have been to Vegas twice. The first trip Michael was there for work and flew me down there at the end of his business trip so we could stay the weekend together. A good friend from Cali also met us down there for some shows, good food, clubbing, and good company. The second trip was a Chevron appreciation trip. It was more relaxing where we were able to lay out by the pool and just relax.

This year we finally made it up to the McCall Winter Festival. I have always wanted to go and things have always seemed to pop up but this year we were able to make it up there with some very good friends of our Kelsey and Cailin. We had a great time!

RIP Grandma Lou

Shortly after Christmas, Michael's Grandma Lou joined Jesus in heaven. Michael and I drove to California during New Years weekend. For the funeral and to say goodbye to an amazing woman. We were able to enjoy some family time when we were down there. Here are somepics of us going out shooting on New Years day and then we headed down to Las Vegas were Michael and I stayed the night and had our own little New Years.

This Christmas we were completely blessed to have our Grandma come visit. This was the first time she saw Payton... You can't tell she's excited can you:) We started off the festivities with a dinner over at Kellie and Pat's since they were going to Washington to have Christmas with Pat's family. This year we spent Thanksgiving mainly with my side of the family. We went out to Michael's Nana's for a little bit to see his Uncle John and back to my parents house for some good grub:) My in-laws came over for some desert after our Turkey dinner. It was good to share the Holiday with both of our families!!! My older sister and her boyfriend were able to visit for a long weekend and it was amazing to have them here... The only thing that would have made it better would have been if our brother and sister-in-law could have also joined us. On Thanksgiving day my sister's boyfriend proposed to my sister!!! It was definitely a great day!!!!

So for Halloween this year we decided to dress up you 'children' instead of dress up ourselves:) Our little family had fun carving pumpkins, watching scary movies and handing candy out to trick-a-treaters:) It was the first Halloween since Michael and I have been together that I didn't have to work the night shift! We definitely had a blast.... I can't speak for our poor pups though:)

Last summer I bought clubs but Michael and I only went to the driving range a couple of times, this summer Michael thought it was time to get me out on a course. I think mainly so he can now golf ALL the time and not feel bad about it:) None the less, Michael and I have had a lot of fun golfing together. My gift to my wonderful hubby was I surprised him with a weekend trip to Phoenix to see one of his favorite bands, The Zac Brown Band. The concert was AMAZING and we were able to throw in an Arizona Diamond Backs baseball game as well as spend some time with my big sis and her boyfriend. All in all it was a great weekend!

For our one year anniversary, Michael surprised me with a getaway up to McCall for a night. We stayed at Shore Lodge, went bike riding around the lake, kayaking, enjoyed the boat show that was going on and best of all spent time together outside of our chaoitic life! It was amazing... The perfect end to a year down and a perfect begining to a lifetime more:) I Love you baby!!!

When we got home we busted out our year old cake from the wedding and enjoyed a slice together. It wasn't too bad for a year old piece of cake:)

Lake Tahoe 2010

For Papa Tony's 50th birthday,

he decided he wanted to take a trip with all of us to Lake Tahoe to see the Celebrity Golf Tournament at Edgewood Golf Course (where Michael & I got married) and to go boating.

So we packed up the second week in July and headed to Lake Tahoe with our boat and what seemed like everything but the kitchen sink:)

We rented a house on the water in South Lake Tahoe with a boat dock.

We had an amazing time and here are the pictures to prove it!

The Minnie Winnie Adventure

One of our wedding presents was a trip up to the big AK from some very close family friends! We Started off our big adventure in Anchorage where we stayed with the Orzechowski's for a night before heading up to Denali National Park. We staying in the Orzechowski's cabin in Denali for a weekend where other close family friends, the Garrett's met us there for a weekend filled with hiking, 4 wheeling, great food, friends and laughter. From there we went with the Garrett's in their motor home towards their home in Delta Junction. Michael and I then stayed the next few days in Delta Junction at Rich and Michelle's house where we had a fabulous time 4 wheeling, relaxing, trying new things:) and enjoying each other's company. Here we bought a book called the Milepost. It is a book that describes every mile of Alaskan Highway which lead us on the second half of our adventure. The Garrett's were nice enough to let us borrow their motor home for the second half of our trip. Where we took it down the Richardson highway to the Mat-Su Valley so I could show Michael my old stomping grounds as well as stop and see the Reynolds (basically my adoptive grandparents) then off to Anchorage where we were able to have drinks with an old friend (Jennie) and her boyfriend before heading off to Portage Glacier, our first nifht stop in the Minnie Winnie. From there we went to Alyeska for the day to explore and stop at my favorite pizza place ever, Chair Five, for lunch. After a few more little stops we made it to the Kenai Peninsula where we spent the rest of our vacation. First in Homer, AK then off to Seward where we went fishing for Halibut thanks to Janice and Mike. After catching plenty of Halibut we made our way back to Anchorage to spend our last night with the Orzechowski's where we had a feast fit for a King.

Below is a picture of a 3 week old moose named Bill. His mom died during childbirth of him and his twin sister so the Refuge took him in. Isn't he cute!

Here is a picture of a Brown Bear. I'm not going to lie I was just a bit intimidated being so close to him with only a little wire fence separating us. He did try to dig under while we were gawking at him and a little refuge employee who was about half my size yelled at him and he went running. It was definitely interesting to see:)

We had an amazing time and Michael even said that he would move there... well if we went up in the Winter and he was able to handle the snow and cold. It has been hard for him to not understand where I came from and we would have never been able to make this trip if it wasn't for great family friends! Michael & I were completely blessed with an all paid for trip to the Dominican Republic from one of Michael's customers!!! Since it is such a long plane ride from Boise they had to put us up in a hotel in New York City for a night... Darn it I know:) Michael had never been to NY before so we made the most out of our night there and went to the Empire State Building. It was amazing to be able to see the whole city for miles and miles on end. Michael definitely agrees that it was the best thing we could have done with the little time we had there. It also put a little fire in his pants to go back very soon and spend a lot more time there to explore this amazing city. A second bonus to the night stay in NY was to see my sister-in-law. It was awesome to spend the night with her!

The next morning, bright and early we were back at the airport waiting for our last flight to our final destination. We got to the DR early afternoon. I was amazing stepping out of the plane into a completely open air airport and the 80+ degree weather. A huge change from Boise, ID but we were definitely not complaining:) We spent the next 4 days laying by the pool, on the beach or snorkeling. It was a much need break from reality:)

Christmas Day I got off work, went home to change and get Michael then we headed out to his sister's house to have Christmas morning with the DeMark family. We had a great time opening presents, watching the kids open presents. Matt cooked us his famous breakfast and then I was done for. I went to take a nap. We then headed over to Grandma DeMark's house for an early dinner, games, and more presents:) We had a great time with both families this Christmas!

Our first Christmas as Man & Wife... Since both of our families are around here we had to find a happy medium between the two. Two make things a little more difficult, I had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at 11pm. What we decided to do was to have Christmas with my family at our house on Christmas Eve and spend Christmas Day with Michael's.

Christmas Eve, my family came over, we played games, ate a spaghetti dinner and went to church. We came home from church and opened presents...

Michael and I went to Vegas the beginning of December to support my sister in the Rock & Roll Marathon. It was amazing, a long weekend of shopping, gambling, lights, shows and running:) It was a nice little vacation. Here are a few pictures from our adventures:)

Thanksgiving 2009

This Thanksgiving was a crazy one!!! Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple:) I love being able to say that! We started at Michael's parents house for our first turkey dinner then headed over to my parents for our second turkey dinner:) To say the least, we were stuffed to the rim by the end of the day. After our second dinner, Michael's parents, his sister and the kids came over for some pie and to hangout. After they headed home, the rest of us played a game of 45 which I lost horribly at. It was a great but very busy day! Here are some pics from our adventure.

Darius is becoming one of my favorite Country artists. Michael saw him in concert when he was younger in Hootie and the Blowfish. If you weren't there you definitely missed a great concert!!!

In September, Michael's Family threw us a second reception here in Boise for all our friends and family who weren't able to come to Tahoe. Michael's sister was amazing to host it in her backyard. The DeMark family was amazing. Aunt Lori, Grandma DeMark, Lisa and Joe made us cupcakes for our desert, the display was more than we could have even imagined. Here are some pictures of the event:)

As most of you know by now, Michael & I bought a ski/wake board boat this summer. We have been out on it every free minute we have. We have taken up wake surfing and have absolutely fallen in love with it:) So here are some pictures from our adventures

We headed down to a little town just outside Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Playacar Palace. It was absolutely amazing! When our shuttle arrived at the hotel, we had multiple staff there to assist us. One with our bags, one to give us a cold cloth for our face, hands and one with a glass of champagne. We then went up to our room where there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us. The room was gorgeous, a large king size bed, a hot tub in the room and an amazing balcony that looked over the ocean. We were definitely in awe. A huge sigh of relief and our vacation began. Our wedding weekend was amazing!! My sister and I got into Lake Tahoe on Tuesday to do last minute "things" and the rest of my family and friends trickled in the over the next couple days. There wasnt much to do however, so instead we spent our time getting our nails done, having a spa day, the girls threw me a second bachelorette party (i have amazing friend) and hanging out with family and friend:) Edgewood Golf Course, i would have to say, is the best place to have a destination wedding. They literally did everything for us and when we got into Tahoe we didnt need to lift a single finger!

The first day in Tahoe. Kristin(my sis) and I getting yelled at. Supposedly you are not allowed to take photos in some of the botiques... opps:)

For my second bachelorette party we all went out for sushi (moms and aunts as well) then my bridal party and I broke off and went bar hoping in the casinos. We started Harrahs where we ran into the man below and ended the night at a kareoke bar...Kristin I seriously had no idea:)

The weekend was absolutely amazing and wish I could share all the photos on my blog but there are just too many so I just gave everyone a little taste. I just want to thank all of my family and friends who made this weekend possible and without every one of you it just wouldnt have been the same:)
